TL'DR: Disappointing visit today. In and out in 10 minutes for a scissor haircut and beard trim that lacked care. Charged £35 for rushed service. Uneven haircut, razor use on dry skin (no towel or cream), and skipped areas on beard (foil shaver instead of razor). Decline in quality from previous visits. Won't be returning.

Today's experience at the barber shop was incredibly disappointing. I've visited this place multiple times before, and while the service has always been decent, today was an absolute let-down. My appointment was at 3:30 for my usual scissor haircut and beard maintenance, but it turned out to be a complete scam. I understand it's a bank holiday but if you're open then do the work? Shop only had 1 other customer.

First of all, the fact that I was in and out of the shop within 10 minutes speaks volumes about the lack of care and attention to detail. For this subpar service, I was charged a whopping 35 pounds, which is outrageous given the quality I received.

The barber who attended to me seemed disinterested from the start. After the scissor haircut, I expected at least some shaping up to give it a polished look which he did but then skipped the back of my head as if he couldn't be bothered.

The beard maintenance was an even bigger disaster. Without any preparation, he just started using a razor on my skin. There was no damp towel, no shaving cream – just a careless attempt to get the job done. He neglected the area below my chin altogether, opting for a quick and lazy fix with a foil shaver.

I've been a loyal customer, but I've never felt so disrespected and mistreated. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in the quality of service. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this barber shop. Customers deserve better treatment, especially when paying a premium price for services that should be executed with professionalism and care. I have never seen this barber before but I have no clue why they were hired.

Very good local barber for a trim. Friendly and professional service with good attention to detail. Stays open late which is a real advantage.
